Kind words

I thank everyone here who took out their time to review my work as a wedding photographer.

It means a lot to me  that you love the images and that you enjoyed having me there on your very special day. I am touched by your kind words. Here are a few wedding photography reviews that made my day.

I’ve always admired Nishal’s work as a photographer, especially when it comes to wedding shoots. I really like his way of storytelling and capturing the essence of weddings. It’s almost like he not only seizes the moment, but also the emotions in his photos. And weddings I believe are all about very special emotional moments.

When it was about choosing the photographer for my own wedding, I definitely wanted someone who does amazing work but also someone who would really want to be a “part of the wedding” and not just be there only to get the job done. And when I shared this idea with a (travel) photographer friend from my hometown, he instantly suggested that I should ask no one else but Nishal.

I did and it turned out to be a great choice! Having done our master’s together and being friends from then on, it surely felt like he was a part of the family and not just “the photographer” for our wedding. Besides, hailing from the same part of the country added on to the homely (Northeasterner) feeling.

Nishal, as a person, is very warm. He can genuinely make you feel comfortable at once – something, which I feel is very important while doing wedding shoots. For me, I could just be myself with him, even when there were times when I was obviously nervous. Honestly, I never had to worry about looking good in the photos or striking the perfect pose. I was just living the moments and Nishal was doing his job – a great job! He and Abhijit had never met before, but they connected pretty well during the wedding which made it a lot relaxed and easier for us to do the post-wedding outdoor shoot. It was like old friends meeting up and talking – while he was smartly getting the work done.

To make things easier, we asked Nishal if he could take up the entire wedding shoot (photos and videos) for both sides of the families as one big project. He agreed and the ball started rolling. And trust me, we didn’t have to worry about anything – big or small. From planning to execution to editing to getting the final photos and videos delivered, he got everything sorted for us – just like a good friend and a professional photographer. We probably couldn’t have asked for more.

Thank you, Nishal for creating some everlasting memories from our wedding through your beautiful photography.

R and I were very particular about hiring a good wedding photographer. We wanted someone to capture the emotions without making it look too posey. We wanted beautiful candid moments that we would cherish for years to come. And most importantly, we wanted someone who told our story through their lens.

I wrote to a couple of photographers, but nothing worked out. All along I knew I wanted Nishal Lama (an ex-colleague) to do our wedding photography. I have always admired his work and felt he would be the perfect fit. So I went ahead and called him; luckily he was free on the dates we had chosen. R didn’t instantly get on board with the plan and wasn’t fully convinced either. Whereas I knew that Nishal was what we were looking for. R did his own bit of research about him and looked at every single picture he had shot before making up his mind. Though he agreed, I don’t think R was fully convinced until we had a chat with Nishal.

Nishal had a lot of ideas about how he would shoot and spoke to us extensively about his style of photography. He seemed extremely passionate about photography and R was fully smitten. And smitten was the word on everybody’s lips during our wedding. Everyone loved Nishal, he made a camera-shy person like my dad to open up and pose. Girls wanted his number, aunts couldn’t stop talking about him and all the uncles liked him. He had won over every single one with his amazing people skills. My dad even called him the “best photographer.” Coming from my dad, that is a high praise. We did a post-wedding shoot in very ordinary places, but the photos look out-of-the-world! R even developed a man-crush on him after looking at his amazing camera skills (jealous of you, Nishal). Nishal certainly did provide us with long-lasting memories of a very important day in our lives.

Manasa and Nitin wedding photography reviews

“You guys were a great team and we are so happy we went with you all as our photographers. We should thank you for patiently shooting our entire wedding. And doing it so well. Anand, Nishal and the guys were brilliant and so cooperative throughout the event. Special thanks to Nishal for getting us to smile by lightening the moment! You’ve captured some amazing moments. We are reliving the entire wedding through these photos. We are getting to see multiple perspectives as to what people were up to and how they were reacting. It was amazing! Great job and kudos to the whole team! Thanks so much, guys!”

Nishal Bhaiya, as we fondly call him, is a walking eye.

We belong from two corners of India, i.e., Karnataka and Rajasthan, and neither families had an idea of the other’s customs.

The first person we contacted to shoot the five-day wedding was Nishal Bhaiya, given his knowledge, experience, and the fact that he has an excellent eye for detail.

As experiences teach, we were assuming a photoshoot wherein we’d be made to awkwardly stand or sit or look or smile, but with Bhaiya, that was not the case at all. He kept us at ease and asked to be ourselves, whilst he and his wonderful team did the job without making us feel realize that everything was being documented.

The wedding rituals ranged for five whole days, sometimes from dawn to dusk or rather mid-night, but there was never a flinch from Nishal Bhaiya and his team. Whatever be the time, he would be ready with his equipment and a smile, all willing to capture the next beautiful moment.

The images taken by Bhaiya and his team are ‘CANDID in the truest of sense.
